Product Manager

The platform serves over 350,000 businesses and nearly 1.5 million active savers, managing more than $30 billion in assets across the United States. Who Are We Looking For? Product Manager to lead and expand Vestwell’s user‑facing platform experiences and identity capabilities. This role requires a strong product owner with a passion for improving retirement industry products. Responsibilities Own the squad roadmap end‑to‑end, translating stakeholder needs and company goals into focused initiatives and communicating priorities across the organization. Partner with Design to drive UX quality from concept to delivery, raising questions, addressing edge cases, and ensuring fully thought‑through experiences before development. Collaborate with Engineering and QA through the full development lifecycle—clear requirements, acceptance criteria, feedback, bug identification, and final sign‑off. Proactively identify platform gaps, build business cases, and use usage trends to inform prioritization. Leverage AI tools to sharpen output and explore opportunities to embed AI into product experiences. Requirements 4+ years of Product Management experience, ideally in fintech, SaaS, or a similarly fast‑paced product environment. Strong UX judgment with a proven ability to partner with Design to deliver high‑quality experiences. Ability to write detailed, unambiguous requirements for engineering. Comfort managing a wide portfolio of features and workstreams simultaneously. Excellent collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills—proactive, transparent, and consistent. Experience with SQL and relational databases. The Extras Experience in the retirement industry (401(k), 403(b), IRA, etc.). Location and Compensation The role will be based in our New York City or Austin office, and will be part of Vestwell's hybrid in‑office operation. Expected base salary range is $135K – $150K. The position is eligible for the Company Bonus Pool and new‑hire equity. Salary bands are based on the New York metro area and may differ by location.
