Responsibilities The Senior Mechanical Engineer – Acoustics is responsible for leading the design, analysis, and optimization of acoustic and vibration performance across complex mechanical systems and products. Serve as a subject‑matter expert in acoustics, applying advanced engineering principles to reduce noise, enhance sound quality, and improve overall system performance. Partner closely with cross‑functional teams—including product design, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and manufacturing—to develop innovative acoustic solutions from concept through production. Conduct detailed modeling, simulation, and testing, and provide strategic technical guidance to support new product development, design validation, and continuous improvement initiatives. Design and test acoustic solutions for collaboration devices used in conference rooms. Incorporate microphone acoustic design into products. Collaborate with ME, HW, Algorithm, DSP, and Product Management teams to achieve optimized solutions. Build prototypes to evaluate performance and testing. Develop mechanical design solutions using CAD and other analytical tools. Verify and validate mechanical designs for high‑quality audio products destined for mass production. Perform tolerance analysis to ensure proper fit and function. Qualifications Minimum Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Acoustic Engineering. Minimum 4‑5 years of experience focused on acoustic engineering. CAD experience required (Creo preferred). Prior experience in enclosure design for an acoustic system. Experience designing injection‑molded, diecast, and sheet‑metal parts for mass production. Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
