POSITION SUMMARY

The HR Generalist provides broad-based support across the full range of human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and performance management. This role serves as a key point of contact for employees and managers on day-to-day HR matters and helps ensure consistent, compliant, and effective HR practices across the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage full-cycle recruitment, including posting requisitions, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and extending offers
• Facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization
• Serve as a first point of contact for employee relations issues, escalating and documenting matters as appropriate
• Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and vendor coordination
• Support performance management processes, including annual reviews, goal setting, and performance improvement plans
• Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data, ensuring confidentiality and data integrity
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEO, OSHA)
• Administer leave of absence programs, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, and workers' compensation claims
• Assist in the development, communication, and administration of HR policies and the employee handbook
• Coordinate training and development initiatives to support employee growth and organizational needs
• Prepare and analyze HR metrics and reports (e.g., turnover, headcount, time-to-fill) to support data-driven decision-making
• Support compensation administration, including job documentation and pay-practice compliance
• Assist with unemployment claims, workplace investigations, and other HR compliance activities

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 2–4 years of progressive HR generalist experience 
• Working knowledge of employment and labor law, including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEO, and OSHA requirements
• Proficiency with HRIS platforms; Paylocity preferred 
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
• Sound judgment and problem-solving ability, with a demonstrated capacity to manage competing priorities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Office environment with regular manufacturing floor presence.
