Audiologist – Veteran Disability Assessments

We are looking for a committed Audiologist to become a part of our team, focusing on medical evaluations for U.S. Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process. In this position, you will examine the Veteran's medical history, which is securely uploaded to a digital portal, prior to administering a Maryland CNC Test and Puretone Audiometric test. Following the assessments, you will fill out a Disability Benefits Questionnaire (DBQ) within the portal, creating the necessary medical documentation for the VA to assess the Veteran’s eligibility for benefits.

• Perform in-person disability evaluations for U.S. Veterans.
• Examine and interpret electronic medical records through a secure online portal.
• Thoroughly document examination results and complete the required VA forms.

Note: This position does not include prescribing any medical treatments or devices. The determination of disability is made by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) , not by the provider.

• Schedule: Part-Time, 2 days per week (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM).
• Location: In-person role.
• Caseload: Average of 3-6 Veterans per day.
• Equipment Provided: Computer and all necessary documentation tools.

• A compassionate Audiologist who is passionate about assisting the Veteran community.
• Strong analytical abilities to evaluate medical records and assessment data.
• Excellent time management skills and the capability to meet deadlines.
• Proficient in electronic documentation and web-based systems.
• A professional and empathetic approach when engaging with Veterans.

• Possesses an Au.D. and has graduated from an ASHA Accredited School .
• Holds a valid license as an Audiologist .
• Comfortable utilizing technology for record review and documentation.
