Picture your afternoon: you arrive on-site in Mooresville, NC, sync up with the outgoing crew, and bring a bank of CNC machines to peak performance. You dial in tooling, verify offsets, skim the prints, and run first-article checks with the right gages. Through the evening, you solve problems, keep quality tight, and help junior operators build confidence—wrapping a productive 2nd shift by 10:00 PM.
Role Details- Location: Mooresville, NC
- Work Arrangement: On-site
- Schedule: 2nd Shift, 1:45 PM–10:00 PM
- Pay: $21 - $24 per hour (depending on skills and experience)
- Employment Type: Full-time / Hourly
- Set up, operate, and adjust CNC and related mechanical equipment to achieve precision, throughput, and repeatable quality.
- Apply advanced troubleshooting and make program/offset changes to resolve issues and enhance machine performance.
- Read and interpret blueprints, specs, and work instructions to run the job right the first time.
- Perform in-process and final checks using required gaging instruments; complete all quality and production records accurately.
- Maintain 5S standards and adhere to safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
- Drive continuous improvement and coach less-experienced operators on best practices.
- 2–5 years in a comparable CNC machining role.
- Confidence working independently with minimal supervision.
- Strength in diagnosing complex equipment/process issues and implementing fixes.
- Hands-on knowledge of CNC operations, tooling, and related processes.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.
- Solid math, documentation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with required inspection and gaging instruments.
- Extended periods of standing.
- Regularly lift up to 50 lbs; push or pull up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent bending and stooping.
- Manual dexterity for handling small parts and tools.
- Manufacturing floor environment with notable noise.
