The distribution center links factories to retail, online and mail‑order customers. The supply chain environment is dynamic and fast‑paced, expanding rapidly. Small package eCommerce centers in Mississippi and Arizona (3.2M sq ft) supporting over 1,000 full‑time and 1,500 seasonal/temporary associates in Mississippi. Manufacturing upholstery factories in North Carolina and Mississippi (1,400 employees) producing $900 million to $1 billion of upholstered furniture. Transportation department for ocean, air, trucking and rail with over 30 professionals in Memphis, TN. 700 associates in Sourcing offices across 10 countries in Asia and Europe. The Operations Manager works closely with the General Manager and/or Assistant General Manager to drive performance across the floor, develop front‑line talent, and respond to changing priorities, peak demand, and daily business needs. Responsibilities Build and lead high‑performing teams by setting clear expectations, coaching, and reinforcing accountability. Monitor productivity, workflow, and service performance; take immediate action to address gaps. Provide strong shift handoffs, operational continuity, and consistent execution. Communicate policies to associates, maintain compliance, and take corrective action when needed. Partner cross‑functionally with internal teams and external providers to ensure alignment. Help the operation scale up or down quickly as labor needs and seasonal demand shift. Reinforce a culture of safety, quality execution, and operational discipline. Partner with site leadership to ensure compliance with OSHA standards. Direct and oversee job assignments and plan daily, weekly, monthly, and peak‑season labor schedules. Achieve financial plans and budget objectives. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalent. At least 3–5 years of relevant distribution or manufacturing management/leadership experience. In lieu of a degree, 6–8 years of progressively responsible distribution leadership experience. On‑site role. Demonstrated success leading people and performance in a fast‑paced, high‑volume distribution, logistics, or fulfillment environment. Strong ability to lead teams, set direction, and drive accountability. Demonstrated operational judgment and ability to make effective real‑time decisions. Proficiency in WMS systems and understanding of how they support inventory control, workflow, and accuracy. Experience managing third‑party providers across warehouse operations, value‑added services, and transportation. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Bilingual – Spanish. Exposure to high‑volume distribution, big box, furniture, or omni‑channel operations. Experience with automation or advanced operational systems. Strong understanding of OSHA and workplace safety standards. Experience supporting multi‑shift operations and developing front‑line leaders. Physical Requirements Able to bend, reach, squat, climb stairs/ladders, stand, and walk throughout the facility for extended periods.
