RN - Psych Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Staff Augmentation Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Evening Hours per Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Must possess an active state nursing license Certifications: BLS/CPR certification required Must-Have: Flexibility in scheduling due to potential changes in staffing levels and needs of the facility.Availability during holidays, including Thanksgiving, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas.Local candidates only; prior rejections from this facility will not be considered.General nursing experience is required; candidates with a focus on psychiatric or mental health nursing will not be considered. Description:Provides professional nursing care to patients in a state-operated facility.Observes, assesses, and records symptoms, reactions, and progress of patients.Makes nursing rounds and records vital signs.Prepares and administers prescribed medications and treatments.Monitors patients on a timely basis and provides immediate medical attention in emergencies.Counsels patients regarding the need for medical referrals when necessary.Participates in staff development and education, orienting new employees.Responsible for overseeing health care for bedridden patients, creating care plans, and teaching health care principles.Performs specialized nursing procedures such as IV therapy, wound care, and dialysis.Directs health care staff assigned to the area and acts as the lead worker during shifts.Performs clerical tasks including documentation of medications and treatments.Arranges medical appointments and manages inventory of medications and equipment.Conducts meetings and serves as an instructor or leader of problem-solving teams as required.Submissions must include a resume and cover letter along with required certification documents. #J-18808-Ljbffr Cynet Health
