Short Description The Registered RN is a professional care‑giver who, as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for adesignated time frame and who supervises and provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process including the therapeutic use of self. Follows established policies and procedures Communicates openly with internal customers and supervisors Provides excellent customer service interfacing well with all levels of staff, management and physicians Applies Cooper core values Other duties as required Overview The Mt. Laurel and Willingboro locations are only outpatient units, whereas the Special Test Unit (STU) , located on the sixth floor in the main hospital is an outpatient and inpatient unit. All are run by the hospital largely to serve diagnostic and therapeutic needs of the Gastroenterology Division. The most common gastroenterology procedures are upper endoscopy and colonoscopy. In the pulmonary suite (STU only), endoscopy of the airway procedures is performed, and are commonly called bronchoscopy. All units are staffed by surgical schedulers, patient service representatives, nurses, and GI technicians. Anesthesiology is present for all GI procedures.Nurses rotate between the admission (Pre op), procedure suites, recovery (PACU) and pre‑admission testing. They must be familiar with all roles and procedures in the GI Unit. Experience Required Require 2 Years Acute Care Experience (Med Surg, ICU, ER, etc.);GI or PACU Experience Preferred Strong Computer Skills Needed Education Requirements Graduate of NLN accredited School of Nursing License/Certification Requirements Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse) Current NJ-BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) Special Requirements 9‑5:30p; 9 shifts / 6 wk schedule, Sat requirements Salary Min ($)
