Unit Secretary
Part-Time: 16 to 20 hours a week. Works every third weekend 8:00am - 4:30pm, and some midweek days.

The Unit Secretary provides administrative and clerical support to Health Information/Skilled Nursing department; including scheduling resident appointments and transportation; preparing admissions records, charts and ID bands for newly admitted residents; answers phone calls and exhibits excellent customer service and tact when dealing with physicians, residents, and families; and other administrative support.

Our ideal candidate will be reliable and follow safety procedures and duties assigned by a supervisor.
* Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility as a unit secretary, preferred
* Knowledge of medical terminology
* Basic computer knowledge and typing/data entry skills
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Excellent customer service skills and telephone etiquette
* Must be able to concentrate with frequent interruptions
* Ability to function independently, with little direct supervision
* Must have the ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines, maintain accuracy and detail orientation.
* High school graduate, or equivalent
* Legally Authorized to work in the United States
