Job Description Job Description Job Title: General Manager (Hospitality & Operations) Location: Elizabethtown, PA Reports to: Ownership / Director of Operations Direct Reports: Kitchen Manager/Chef, FOH Leads, Bar Staff, Floor Staff The Mission As the General Manager of our second location, you will lead the charge in bringing the Inspiration Brewing Company experience to the Elizabethtown community. This is a high-visibility, "player-coach" role. You are the ultimate host of our Irish Pub, the strategist behind our P&L, and the tactical support for both the bar and the kitchen. You don't just "oversee" the pub; you own the energy of the room. Core Responsibilities1. Leadership & Team Development * Direct Management: Supervise the Chef/Kitchen Manager to ensure food quality, safety standards, and ticket times remain elite. * Culture Carrier: Recruit, hire, and train a "service-first" team that understands the nuances of Irish hospitality (warm, welcoming, and efficient). * Mentorship: Conduct regular 1-on-1s with the Chef and FOH Leads to foster professional growth and prevent burnout during the high-volume opening phase. 2. "Swiss Army Knife" Operations * Floor Presence: Act as the "Face of the Pub" during peak hours, touching tables, recognizing regulars, and managing the flow of our 120-seat dining room. * Kitchen Literacy: While a Chef is on-site, you must be capable of jumping on the line, expo-ing, or assisting with prep during "code red" rushes or staffing gaps. * Two-Bar Management: Strategically open and close the second bar based on real-time volume to maximize labor efficiency without bottlenecking service. 3. Financial & Administrative Excellence * P&L Accountability: Manage the bottom line, with a specific focus on Labor % and Prime Costs. * Brewery Integration: Partner with the brewing team to ensure draft lines are pristine, pours are consistent, and the staff can intelligently speak to our rotating beer list. * Inventory & Compliance: Oversee liquor/beer ordering and ensure 100% compliance with PLCB regulations and health department codes. 4. Grand Opening Strategy (Launch: Late August 2026) * Pre-Opening: Assist in the final build-out phase, vendor setup, and local marketing "boots on the ground" in E-town. * Launch Execution: Lead the "Soft Opening" and "Grand Opening" events, adjusting workflows on the fly as the new space "settles." Required Qualifications * Experience: 5+ years of progressive restaurant management experience. Proven "Line Experience" (BOH) is required. * The "Irish Pub" Spirit: A natural ability to build community and a "nothing is beneath me" attitude. * Technical Skills: Proficiency in modern POS systems (we will be using GoTab), scheduling software, and inventory management tools. * Availability: Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including late nights and weekends, especially during the first 90 days of the opening. * Certifications : ServSafe Manager, RAMP Manager, and RAMP Server/Seller The "Ideal Candidate" Profile The person who wins this role likely has a "Kitchen-to-Front" career path.
