SNI Companies is partnering with a large medical practice in Mercer County, NJ for a Medical Pre-Authorization Associate ; some experience dealing with insurance, co-pays, authorizations, referrals. Experience with PET/CT a huge plus!
Candidates should have some experience with aspects of insurance verification, referrals and the authorization process in regards to medical testing.- Call insurance companies, referring physicians, and/or patients to verify insurance eligibility and pre-authorization status as needed.
- Make proper corrections in office database system regarding changes in exams.
- Upgrade/downgrade certification's as needed prior to and at time of study.
- Maintain updated knowledge of participating insurances and user operations for office pre-auth worklist, and Exchange EDI
- Greet and direct patients/physicians/visitors
- Enter the correct insurance information.
- Process paperwork (referrals, signatures on file, waivers, et al.
- scan insurance cards, referrals, waivers and FTP's.
- Collect office visit co-payments when necessary.
- Schedule walk in appointments.
- Health, dental & vision insurance
- Company-paid life and long-term disability insurance
- 401k profit sharing plan.
