About the Position

Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital telemetry experience. BLS and ACLS certifications are required. Description: This role requires a Rapid Response Nurse. The position is for 6 weeks with 48 hours guaranteed per week. The nurse will work the night shift from 19:00 to 07:00. Candidates must have experience in intermediate care settings. The unit has a total of 37 beds and is staffed by both day and night teams. Day shift consists of 8 RNs, while the night shift has 8 RNs as well. Patient ratios are 1:6, and 1:4 for heart catheterization patients, though these are estimates. Typical equipment includes PCA pumps, IV pumps, and chest tubes. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech. Typical procedures performed include central lines, medication drips, heart cath recovery, and bubble studies. Candidates should exhibit a positive attitude and strong critical thinking skills. Positive patient care experiences are essential for success in this role.
