The Hotel Front Desk Clerk plays a crucial role in ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience for all guests. Responsible for managing check-ins, reservations, and billing, this role acts as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and support. Working within a small team of 1-3 staff and reporting directly to the Front Office Manager, the clerk operates in a dynamic environment with rotating day and night shifts, utilizing property management software to enhance operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Conduct guest check-in and check-out processes efficiently
- Manage room reservations and ensure accuracy
- Provide excellent customer service and address guest inquiries
- Handle billing, payments, and maintain accurate financial records
- Answer and direct phone calls professionally
- Assign rooms based on availability and guest preferences
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in hotel front desk operations
- High School Diploma or equivalent
