Worker TypeRegularJob DescriptionSummaryAs a Software Engineer II (Applications) you will build mission systems software that flies on real uncrewed aircraft, working alongside a small, fast-moving team of engineers who love autonomy and robotics. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants real ownership of hard problems - designing, developing, and testing the software that powers vision-based navigation and autonomous flight, and seeing it deployed on live systems.Position Responsibilities:Design, build, and test onboard Linux software powering AV's vision-based navigation, autonomy, and mission systems for uncrewed aircraftWrite software that integrates sensors, processors, and other robotics systems onto real aircraft - and see it flyOwn features end to end: from design and implementation through automated testing and deploymentParticipate in software design reviews and contribute your ideas to how the team builds and shipsTurn detailed software requirements and algorithm designs into working, well-tested codeCollaborate closely with other software developers, reusing and improving shared software across multiple programsLearn fast in a hands-on environment with strong senior mentorship, and level up quicklyTackle problems of moderate scope, using good judgment to figure out the right approachOther duties as assignedBasic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, or Physics, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience2 - 5 years of software development experience, or a strong track record of internships, research, personal projects, or startup work.
