We are currently seeking a qualified School Psychologist to join a collaborative school team for the 2026-2027 school year. Position Overview The School Psychologist will provide comprehensive psychological services that support students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral success. This role involves conducting evaluations, interpreting assessment results, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and developing intervention strategies for students receiving special education services. The School Psychologist will help ensure students receive the support necessary to thrive in the educational environment. Responsibilities Conduct psychoeducational, behavioral, and social-emotional assessments Interpret assessment data and prepare comprehensive evaluation reports Participate in eligibility determination, IEP, and multidisciplinary team meetings Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers Develop and recommend evidence-based interventions and behavioral supports Provide consultation regarding academic, behavioral, and mental health concerns Assist with crisis intervention and prevention efforts when needed Support compliance with IDEA, Section 504, and New Mexico special education regulations Communicate assessment findings and recommendations effectively to parents and school personnel Promote positive school climate and student well-being Qualifications Required Master's, Educational Specialist (Ed.S.), or Doctoral Degree in School Psychology from an accredited program Valid New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED) School Psychologist License Ability to obtain and maintain all required background clearances in accordance with New Mexico state regulations Knowledge of psychometric principles and assessment practices Experience administering and interpreting standardized, criterion-referenced, and informal assessments Understanding of child development, learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders, and evidence-based interventions Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations, families, and multidisciplinary teams Knowledge of federal and state special education laws and regulations Preferred Previous experience in a K-12 school setting Experience supporting students with emotional, behavioral, and learning needs Familiarity with New Mexico special education procedures and compliance requirements Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred Compensation $40-$60 per hour Compensation is based on experience, education, and qualifications.
