Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive PACU/ASU nursing care for post-anesthesia patients, including monitoring vital signs, pain management, airway management, and hemodynamic stability.
- Assess patient status on arrival and throughout the PACU stay; respond to clinical changes and collaborate with anesthesia and surgical teams.
- Administer medications as ordered, document care and outcomes, and ensure adherence to patient safety protocols.
- Prepare patients for discharge when appropriate; deliver clear discharge instructions to patients and caregivers; coordinate with families and coordinate handoffs to postoperative units or home.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the medical record and support unit operations and patient flow.

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in ASU/PACU or Critical Care nursing.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS credentials required.
- Current RN license and the ability to practice in the appropriate setting.
- Ability to work a rotating daytime schedule including weekend call rotation.
- Comfortable performing PACU duties in a fast-paced hospital environment.
