Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Service Advisor role located in Akron, OH. The Service Advisor serves as the primary point of contact between customers and the service department, greeting customers, understanding their vehicle concerns, and documenting service needs accurately. Daily responsibilities include creating repair orders, coordinating with technicians, providing clear estimates, and communicating service status and timelines to customers. The role involves reviewing vehicle inspections, recommending maintenance and repair services, and ensuring all work is authorized and completed to quality standards. The Service Advisor also handles appointment scheduling, manages follow-up communications, supports warranty and insurance processes, and contributes to a positive, professional customer experience in a fast-paced dealership environment. Qualifications Customer service and communication skills, including active listening, clear verbal and written communication, and a professional, customer-focused demeanor. Basic automotive knowledge and the ability to explain technical information in an accessible way; prior dealership or service center experience preferred. Organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple repair orders, manage appointments, and meet deadlines. Computer proficiency and comfort with dealership management or service scheduling software, as well as standard office applications. Problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities, with attention to detail when preparing estimates, repair orders, and documentation. Ability to work on-site in Akron, OH, in a team-oriented environment, including occasional evenings or weekends as business needs require. High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education or certifications in automotive service or business are a plus.
