• Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 3-4 days
• Board Certification: Board certified/certified required
• License Requirement: Active North Carolina medical license required
• Experience: At least 1 year of general surgery experience required
• Coverage Need: 1 physician opening

• MD or DO with completed General Surgery training
• Active, unrestricted North Carolina medical license
• Board certified or certified in General Surgery
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant surgical experience
• Current certifications required: ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS
• Clean history strongly preferred
• GI capabilities highly preferred
• Ability to work 24-hour coverage blocks from 7A to 7A
• Comfortable with adult surgical care; pediatric and trauma experience preferred

• Provide general surgery coverage for scheduled 24-hour shifts
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage adult surgical patients
• Perform laparoscopic procedures including appendectomy, cholecystectomy, and hernioplasty
• Support breast surgery cases and minor orthopedic procedures as needed
• Perform chest tube insertion and manage vascular access devices
• Provide vascular surgery support when indicated
• Complete GI endoscopy procedures when qualified and assigned
• Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure safe, efficient patient care
• Respond to urgent surgical needs and provide dependable locum tenens coverage during open dates
