In this position, the technician assists pharmacists with processing and filling prescriptions, including data entry, labeling, and preparing medications in accordance with regulatory and safety standards. Daily responsibilities include managing inventory levels, checking stock for expiration dates, and organizing medications and supplies to support efficient pharmacy operations. The role involves frequent interaction with patients and clinical staff, answering questions, handling phone calls, and providing courteous, accurate customer service. The Pharmacy Technician also supports documentation, prior authorizations, and insurance-related tasks as needed, following all policies and procedures.\nQualifications\n\n\n Candidates should possess strong prescription processing skills, including accuracy in data entry and familiarity with medication names and dosages.\n Candidates should possess practical knowledge of pharmacy operations and procedures, with experience working in a pharmacy setting preferred.\n Candidates should possess experience as Pharmacy Technicians, including supporting pharmacists, preparing medications, and following regulatory guidelines.\n Candidates should possess inventory control skills, such as tracking stock, managing ordering, and maintaining organized medication storage.\n Candidates should possess customer service capabilities, demonstrating clear communication, professionalism, and empathy when interacting with patients and colleagues.\n Completion of an accredited pharmacy technician training program and/or national certification (e.g., PTCB or ExCPT) is highly beneficial.\n Knowledge of pharmacy laws, HIPAA requirements, and safety protocols, along with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.\n High school diploma or equivalent required; prior experience in a healthcare or clinical environment is an asset.\n
