About the Position

Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Surgery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (07:00 - 15:30) Experience: 2 years of experience required License: Active compact license accepted Certifications: BLS, ACLS (preferred) Must-Have: Robotics and ENT experience strongly preferred Description: Previous permanent staff are not permitted to work as travelers. All facilities honor active compact licenses. Two years of experience is required. First-time travelers are accepted. On-call may be required. Weekend coverage for on-call support only. Floating may be required to other campuses. Experience in orthopedics, general surgery, urology, gynecology, and spine is needed. Candidates will circulate for ENT, total joints, neuro/spine, OB-GYN, ortho, and plastics. Scrub experience is required for trauma and vascular cases. Responsibilities include administering sedation, blood and blood products, and managing drains. Skills in vascular device access and care, wound vac management, and robotics procedures are necessary. Additional preferred skills include experience with endoscopic procedures. The unit operates with a mix of 30% inpatient and 70% outpatient care. Candidates must have experience in ortho-sports medicine. A clinical emphasis on both pediatric and adult care is required. Daily census averages 20 cases per day across 10 rooms and beds. Interdisciplinary support is available for a variety of patient diagnoses. All working professionals must meet compliance protocols. Two references covering one year within the last three years are required. Modules are non-billable and are to be completed pre-start and annually. Time spent on modules is self-reported and tracked.
