The position involves performing MRI procedures in a dedicated imaging room, primarily serving outpatient adult and geriatric patients, with occasional inpatient and emergency department cases. The role emphasizes clinical expertise, patient interaction, and adherence to safety protocols within a team environment.

Job Details:

• Location: Kings Mountain, North Carolina
• Position: MRI Technologist
• Schedule: Days shift, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with no weekend shifts.
• Shift Hours: 12 hours per day
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours

• Required Qualifications:
  • Certifications: ARRT (Radiologic Technologist and MRI)
  • Licensing/Certification: BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • Education: Not specified
  • Experience: At least 2-3 years of MRI experience, no prior travel experience required but preferred, with approval for first-time travelers considered.
  • Location Requirements: Must reside at least 50 miles outside the facility's location
• Additional Information:
  • The MRI department has one imaging room equipped with GE MRI machines and utilizes the EPIC electronic medical record system.
  • PACS experience is preferred but not required.
  • The role includes potential assistance with X-ray procedures if experienced and comfortable.
  • The orientation period lasts one full week with an experienced MRI technologist, and travelers are not left unattended during initial training.
  • Support staff includes a lead technician and manager; tech assistants are present when staffing allows.
  • The environment manages geriatric and behavioral health patients with patience and confidence.
  • Scrub attire is black, and closed-toed nursing or tennis shoes are required.
  • Parking is free.
