Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of experience for a day shift position supporting adult, pediatric, and neonatal critical care patients.

Details

• Works in a Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics department within a hospital setting
• Provides care across Adult Critical Care, Emergency Department, NICU, and Pediatrics
• 13-week assignment length
• Day shift schedule, 4x12 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
• Epic charting system preferred

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy specialty required
• Active RRT credential required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NRP and PALS certifications preferred
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
• Valid state license or certification required at time of consideration, if applicable
• Two valid professional references and copies of certifications required for consideration
• Experience with ventilator management, airway management, and ABG interpretation
• Skilled in medication delivery systems and nebulizer treatments
• Experience in neonatal/pediatric respiratory equipment and procedures preferred

Additional Information

• Provides respiratory care to adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients including ventilator management and airway support
• Performs chest physiotherapy, arterial blood gas draws, and tracheostomy care
• Assists with intubation, extubation, and high-risk deliveries as needed
• Manages patients with conditions such as ARDS, COVID, cystic fibrosis, RSV, and respiratory distress syndrome
• Utilizes various oxygen therapy and ventilation equipment including BiPAP, CPAP, and oscillating ventilators
• First-time travelers are not required, but travel experience is not mandatory
• Candidates must reside within 50 miles for local rate consideration or may qualify for travel rate outside that radius
• PA fingerprinting and Childline clearance required, which may involve travel exceeding 100 miles
• Requested time off must be submitted at time of consideration; time off requests after consideration will not be accommodated
• Labs must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
