Core Responsibilities

• Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and creating tailored care plans
• Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic disorders in conjunction with physicians or independently based on credentials
• Empowering patients and their families through education on prevention, wellness, and management of health conditions
• Prescribing appropriate medications and treatment regimens as permitted by law
• Engaging in patient follow-ups and chronic disease management
• Working alongside interdisciplinary teams to guarantee comprehensive and cohesive care
• Maintaining clear, accurate records within electronic medical systems (EMR)

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Necessary Certifications

• Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Colorado
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or related specialty
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to obtain within 90 days)
