About the Position

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse – Emergency Department – Texas

Start Date: September 14, 2026

Location: Corpus Christi, Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, every other weekend required

Highlights:

• 15-bed Freestanding Emergency Department providing 24/7 emergency care
• Patient ratio of 1:4 depending on acuity
• Day shift: 06:30–18:30 | Night shift: 18:30–06:30
• EMR system: Meditech
• Equipment includes Baxter pumps, Hamilton ventilators, GE cardiac monitors, and Stryker stretchers
• Core staffing model with minimal floating required across five emergency departments

Requirements:

• Current Texas RN license or ability to obtain
• BLS, ACLS, TNCC (or equivalent), and PALS or ENPC certifications required
• CPI or equivalent crisis intervention certification
• Proven skills in rapidly identifying sepsis, STEMI, stroke, and trauma
• Experience with IV starts, medication administration, wound care, splinting, and comprehensive patient assessments
• Experience with airway management and ventilator care preferred
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
