Shift: PRN Summary: The Occupational Therapist is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, treatment and documentation of occupational therapy for patients. Responsibilities Reviews medical history, creates treatment plans and goals, shows patients how to use adaptive technology Assists patients with disabilities, injuries or illnesses to recover and cope through use of common everyday tasks, demonstrates exercises to relieve pain and increase mobility Knowledge of specific conditions, diseases, and treatment therapies for specific patient populations Assesses patients' physical, psychological, social, and educational needs to determine level and type of care Develops and maintains current patient treatment plan to include patient problems, goals, and interventions Delivers care based on acuity level, identified needs, and physician orders Assesses, collaborates, and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs and readiness for discharge Assesses patient/family learning needs, abilities and readiness to learn and integrates needs into plan of care Requirements Bachelor's degree or post Graduate degree (OT) Active and unrestricted Georgia OT License (Occupational Therapist) BLS Certification Minimum 1 year hospital experience, critical care/acute care preferred.
