Assistant Golf Course Superintendent

Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA)

Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club is a 36 holesemi-private country club with an extensive practice facility. The general responsibility of this position is assisting the Golf Course Superintendent in the organizing, planning and overseeing of the maintenance on one of the courses. The main function of the assistant superintendent is training and overseeing staff members in daily tasks. Tasks must be done according to policies and procedures of Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club with the utmost attention to detail. Responsibilities also include the following: Operate and provide training to staff members on all equipment associated with golf course maintenance. Assign and develop work-efficient schedules to accomplish daily tasks and keep records of such. Occasionally apply fertilizer and chemicals. Must consistently monitor turf and general course conditions. Must give account of daily operation and progress of staff and conditions. Candidates must have prior experience as an assistant superintendent. Must have experience in all aspects of course maintenance including applying chemicals and fertilizer. Candidates must have chemical applicators license or the ability to obtain one within 60 days of employment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
