Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift | 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM | Every other weekend expected

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on an adult Med-Surg Telemetry unit with expected patient ratios of 1:5–7 on night shift
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms, assess patient acuity, and escalate to Charge RN, Rapid Response, or provider as appropriate
• Perform and assist with unit procedures including IV fluids, IV antibiotics, tube feeds, and PEG feedings
• Collaborate with CNAs, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to support a team-oriented care environment
• Document accurately using the Cerner EMR system
• Attend shift huddles and adhere to unit scheduling and timekeeping policies

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in North Carolina or a compact state
• Minimum 2 years of Telemetry or Med-Surg nursing experience
• Demonstrated telemetry rhythm interpretation capabilities
• Strong critical thinking, time management, and communication skills
• Current BLS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred; candidates with this credential will be prioritized
• Prior experience floating to other Med-Surg units or ED holding environments
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR
