Your workday will run from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm (with a 30-minute unpaid lunch), aligning with the school year calendar. As a key support for students and staff, you’ll play a vital role in promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Current RN license, with previous experience in school-based healthcare or special education settings strongly preferred
• Knowledge and understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Experience providing care and support for students with complex medical, behavioral, or developmental needs
• Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, administrators, and families
• Strong communication, organizational, and record-keeping skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage health care needs for students, including medication administration, routine assessments, and response to medical emergencies
• Support students with special needs, both in classroom and clinical settings, as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Document health services and contribute to individual education plans (IEPs) as required
• Educate and train staff on medical protocols as needed
• Communicate regularly with families to ensure continuity of care
