Pay: $181,879.60 - $310,332.06 per year

Duties
- Assist the Hospital Director with the hiring, assignment, supervision, appointment, reappointment, credentialing, and discipline of Organized Medical Staff (OMS) members.
- Provide supervision and oversight of Physicians and Nurse Practitioners (NP) within their respective areas, serving as the collaborating physician for all Family Nurse Practitioners (FNPs) and ensuring competency.
- Deliver direct medical services to patients and/or residents at EMSH, focusing on primary care, acute care, internal medicine, or family practice.
- Perform patient care that require a physician, and take "medical on-call" as the secondary provider to the dual NP.
- Approve medical consultations, procedures, and transfers to other medical facilities, ensuring proper care coordination.
- Lead discharge planning with consideration of patient environment, resources, and skills.
- Serve as Medical Policy Director and/or conduct peer reviews to ensure compliance with established standards of care.
- Monitor and review quality indicators and assessment measures to ensure high performance of services provided.
- Maintain accountability for accurate and timely documentation in accordance with medical policies, practices, and protocols..
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution with active medical licensure.
- DEA license
- Proven experience in hospital settings or healthcare management roles with supervising experience .
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams, supervise staff, and foster a collaborative environment.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate complex medical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
