Job Title: Air & Ocean Freight Coordinator / Agent
Job Description

We are seeking an Air & Ocean Freight Coordinator / Agent with strong, hands-on experience in freight forwarding operations, capable of independently managing air freight shipments from booking through final delivery and billing.
Responsibilities

• Independently manage air import and/or export shipments from start to finish within a freight forwarding environment.
• Coordinate bookings, origin pickups, shipping documentation, airline follow-up, cargo recovery, final delivery, and billing.
• Collaborate closely with airlines, trucking providers, overseas agents, customers, and internal offices to execute shipments efficiently.
• Monitor shipment milestones, proactively communicate updates, and resolve any operational delays.
• Maintain accurate shipment records, documentation, costs, and billing in CargoWise.
• Support air freight quotations by assessing routing, transit times, capacity, and operational feasibility.
• Manage priority and complex shipments with consistent follow-up throughout the shipment lifecycle.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of hands-on air freight operations experience with a freight forwarding company.
• Proven ability to independently manage air export and/or air import shipments.
• Recent experience predominantly focused on air freight operations.
• Proficiency in CargoWise.
• Strong understanding of freight forwarding workflows, carrier coordination, international shipping documentation, and customer service.
• Working knowledge of AES, TSA requirements, and air freight documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments, competing priorities, and urgent requests independently.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in ocean freight operations.
• Broader international import/export operations experience.
• Experience handling aerospace or time-critical shipments.
• Experience supporting multiple internal offices or internal customers.

Work Environment
The work environment offers a hybrid model with standard hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM including an hour lunch break. The role requires proficiency in Microsoft Office and CargoWise. Employees will be able to work remote with also being able to report to our offices in Doral or Punta Gorda when necessary.
Job Type & Location

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
