Diesel Mechanic
Position: Diesel Mechanic
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered trucks, trailers, heavy equipment, and other fleet vehicles. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, and experienced with preventative maintenance and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and air brake systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled services on diesel equipment
- Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, electrical, hydraulic, fuel, cooling, and brake systems
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Replace and repair components including brakes, suspensions, steering, and driveline systems
- Complete work orders and maintenance records accurately
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure DOT compliance
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Qualifications
- 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience preferred
- Experience working on heavy-duty trucks, trailers, or construction equipment
- Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and air brakes
- Ability to read service manuals and diagnostic information
- Experience using diagnostic scanners and hand/power tools
- Valid driver's license required (CDL is a plus)
- ASE Certifications are a plus but not required
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in a shop or outdoor environment

- Steel-toe boots required
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen (if required)
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
- Dependable with excellent attendance
