Job Description:

• This job is a typical Network Engineer role: Cisco IOS stack, CCNA preferred/CCNP a plus, ITIL familiarity, ITOM familiarity, resolving tickets, leading network related projects, incident response (on call), WiFi, SD-WAN, LAN/SDN, VPN, etc.
• Designs, implements, maintains and supports the network infrastructure. Maximizes network operations by monitoring performance, troubleshooting problems and outages and scheduling maintenance and periodic upgrades.
• Ensures network is scalable, configured to meet business objectives and available 24x7. Configures network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, etc.).
• At higher levels, envisions, defines and leads in the development of industry-leading technologies, systems and network infrastructure. Critical focus areas include video, voice, data, automation and security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plays a lead role in providing global Network Engineering support.
• Configures and installs complex network devices, infrastructure and systems.
• Ensures the ongoing performance of network maintenance and systems upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations.
• Monitors network security and risk metrics, tracks issues and exceptions to risk policies and standards and liaises with Cybersecurity team members - suggesting process improvements and ensuring compliance with company security protocols and guidelines.
• Analyzes current network configuration, performance metrics and business needs, recommending future infrastructure improvements.
• Works to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to network infrastructure.

Key Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree and 6-8 years' relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience
