Speech Language Pathologist

Position: Speech Language Pathologist Salary Range: $40-42 per hour Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday (no weekend rotation) Experience Level: Not open to new graduates Facility: 77 bed Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at our 77 bed Skilled Nursing Facility. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive evaluation, treatment, and education to patients with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. Responsibilities Conduct thorough evaluations to assess speech, language, communication, and swallowing abilities of patients Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results and patient needs Provide evidence-based therapy interventions to improve speech, language, communication, and swallowing skills Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated and effective patient care Educate patients, families, and caregivers on strategies to improve communication and swallowing abilities Document patient progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with facility policies and procedures Stay up-to-date with advancements in the field of speech language pathology and incorporate new techniques and technologies into practice Qualifications Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program Current state license or eligibility for state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations and documentation requirements Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities #J-18808-Ljbffr
