Part-time Veterinary Technician Pre-Clinical Instructor

Do you want a schedule where you work 10 to 11 weeks and have 2 to 3 weeks off? Then Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology (Bel-Rea) maybe the place for you! Description: Duties may include: - Teach the hours required by the school and school schedule - Assisting 1 or 2 pre-clinical students with running of an anesthetic protocol including: IV catheter placement Endotracheal intubation Administering Pre-anesthetic and Induction drugs Monitoring of an anesthetized patient Recovering a patient from anesthesia - Assisting 1 or 2 pre-clinical students with scrubbing and circulating for a spay and neuter surgery - Assisting 2 or 3 students in performing pre-surgical laboratory work including: CBC and blood chemistries as well as a manual differential Fecal float and direct smear Urinalysis - Participate in in-service education and continuing education courses to maintain certification as a RVT (Registered Veterinary Technician) - Other duties as assigned Candidate must be a current, RVT with four years minimum post-graduation experience in the field.
