No first-time travelers accepted. Experience with pediatrics and adults is required. Significant pediatric ER experience is necessary for those working in that area. Must have experience in triage.Description: The position requires working in a fast-paced emergency room environment. Candidates will be required to float to pediatric ER as needed. The unit sees a high volume of patients, roughly 325 visits per day between adults and pediatrics. Staffing includes in-house security and support staff such as ER techs and CNAs. The emergency room has designated adult and pediatric treatment areas, including triage and fast track zones. The nurse to patient ratios can vary between units, requiring adaptability and teamwork. Mental health cases may occur, but the focus primarily includes critical and urgent care for all kinds of diagnoses. Technological support includes a telemetry system and transport services, with a team for transport logistics when necessary. Weekend shifts and holiday work are part of the scheduling expectations. Candidates must be flexible with scheduling and available for varying shift times. There are no call requirements but staff may be placed on standby for low census. Dress code involves navy blue scrubs, with restrictions on additional clothing items.
