  • Oversee daily field operations, schedules, workflows, scripts, reporting procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.
  • Ensure field teams have appropriate turf, data, technology, materials, transportation plans, training, and supervisory support.
  • Conduct site visits and field observations to evaluate performance, outreach quality, data accuracy, safety, and compliance.
  • Recruit, interview, onboard, schedule, supervise, coach, evaluate, and retain field and program employees.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback, recognition, training, and professional-development support.
  • Address performance, attendance, conduct, scheduling, safety, and workplace concerns in coordination with the State Director and Human Resources.
  • Train employees on voter registration, voter education, canvassing, phone banking, text messaging, data systems, quality control, field safety, de-escalation, and incident reporting.
  • Collaborate with the national Data Department to establish metrics, dashboards, reports, targeting universes, and accountability systems.
  • Review field data for accuracy, completeness, consistency, reliability, and timely entry.
  • Use VAN, EveryAction, canvassing applications, dialers, texting platforms, spreadsheets, dashboards, and other approved systems.

  • Prepare reports and updates regarding staffing, schedules, goals, performance, data quality, incidents, risks, and resource needs.
  • Implement field-safety, weather, transportation, emergency, and incident-response procedures.
  • Respond promptly to missed check-ins, injuries, threats, harassment, vehicle incidents, law-enforcement interactions, and other emergencies.
  • Stop or modify field activities when conditions present a potential safety risk.
  • Maintain appropriate distinctions between MFA's nonpartisan activities and MFV's legally permissible advocacy or electoral activities.
  • Work flexible mornings, evenings, weekends, and extended campaign-style hours.
  • Travel regularly throughout the assigned state or service area, including on short notice.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
