What the job involves:

We are currently seeking a Summer 2027 Intern in Public Institutions Advisory to join our team. In this role, you will learn real estate valuation methodologies, strategic advisory for public sector clients, and comprehensive market analysis techniques.

As a Summer Intern in Public Institutions at JLL, you will:

• Analyze complex real estate portfolios : Evaluate development opportunities, asset portfolios, and operations for public institutions to determine highest and best use, market values, and advise on strategic initiatives

• Develop financial models and valuations : Use valuation methodologies, research, and identify risks, understand key industry dynamics and underwriting metrics, and prepare corresponding financial models to support JLL team members and client outcomes

• Conduct market and demographic research : Analyze market data and comparable transactions; conduct detailed economic and demographic research through the use of JLL and third-party information services to due diligence and determine feasibility of real estate strategies

• Communicate findings and recommendations : Effectively communicate - written and presentation - results of analysis to internal team members and clients; participate in client engagement activities

• Support business development and operations : Support business development through client proposals, pitches, and relationships; monitor and update Salesforce to track client leads and opportunities; assist in organizing team meetings, maintaining project databases, and enhancing overall team operations

Education, Skills, and Experience

• Actively pursuing a bachelor's degree, with 2-3 years completed majoring in finance, real estate, economics, business, or related field

• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with attention to detail

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present complex information clearly

• Interest in commercial real estate and public sector advisory

• Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively in a team environment

We do not offer relocation assistance or housing for our internship program.

Expected compensation for this position:

9,704.00 - 11,404.00 USD per year

Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
