About the Position

Physical Therapist (PT) – Outpatient Rehabilitation – Day Shift – Relocation Candidates Welcome

We are seeking a full-time Physical Therapist (PT) to provide individualized rehabilitation services in an outpatient setting in Baker, Montana. The ideal candidate will be open-minded, adaptable, and committed to a collaborative, community-focused approach to patient care.

Approximately 95% of the position involves outpatient therapy , with the remaining 5% supporting long-term care (LTC) and skilled swing-bed patients . The therapist must be comfortable treating a broad range of patients and working closely with other healthcare professionals to help patients achieve their functional goals.

This is a 13-week contract with a strong possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop individualized physical therapy treatment plans.
• Implement therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, strength, function, and independence.
• Educate patients on exercises, treatment plans, and recovery strategies.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments to support functional goals.
• Provide therapy primarily in an outpatient setting, with occasional LTC and skilled swing-bed coverage.
• Adapt treatment approaches to meet the needs of a diverse patient population.
• Communicate effectively with patients and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain positive working relationships with clinical and ancillary staff.
• Accept feedback and contribute suggestions to improve patient care and teamwork.

Requirements

• Active Physical Therapist license valid for practice in Montana.
• Minimum 2 years of Physical Therapy experience .
• Ability to treat a broad range of patients in an outpatient setting.
• Flexibility to provide occasional care in long-term care and skilled swing-bed settings.
• Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and communication skills.
• Collaborative attitude and willingness to adapt to the facility’s community-focused approach.

Schedule & Assignment Details

• Contract Duration: 13 weeks.
• Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week.
• Positions Available: 1.
• Work Setting: Approximately 95% outpatient and 5% LTC/skilled swing-bed care.
• Contract Extension: Strong possibility of extension.
• Holiday Coverage: Not required.
