What is the Store Associate’s role?
The primary objectives of a Sullivan Beauty Store Associate are to:

1. Create a friendly, professional shopping experience that makes every customer feel welcomed and supported.
2. Help customers find products, discover new offerings, and take advantage of relevant promotions and education.
3. Support the Store Manager in meeting store sales goals and maintaining consistent service standards.
4. Keep merchandise stocked, organized, accurately priced, and ready to shop.
5. Build lasting relationships with the beauty and barber professionals who rely on Sullivan Beauty.

Store Associates work under the direction of the Store Manager and contribute to the daily success of their location. They communicate customer needs, product requests, and operational concerns so the team can provide accurate answers and reliable follow-through.

What are the Store Associate’s job expectations?
Store Associates take an active role in customer service, sales, and daily store operations. Responsibilities include:

• Greet customers, learn about their needs, and help them locate the right products and supplies.
• Develop knowledge of our brands, professional hair color, hair care, styling products, and tools through ongoing training.
• Offer product guidance using company and manufacturer resources, seeking assistance when a technical question requires additional expertise.
• Introduce customers to new products, promotions, professional education, and relevant company programs.
• Process purchases, payments, and returns accurately using the store’s point-of-sale system and company procedures.
• Follow professional-account verification procedures to maintain our professional-only shopping environment.
• Assist with phone inquiries, product availability checks, and customer order preparation.
• Receive and check merchandise deliveries, replenish shelves, and maintain an organized stockroom.
• Help with inventory counts and report shortages, damaged merchandise, or discrepancies to the Store Manager.
• Maintain attractive displays, accurate shelf labels, and current promotional signage.
• Keep the sales floor, checkout area, and stockroom clean, orderly, and safe.
  Assist with opening and closing procedures as assigned and trained.
• Communicate customer feedback and unresolved concerns promptly to the Store Manager.
• Participate in training, team meetings, and store events as scheduled.
• Arrive reliably for scheduled shifts and work cooperatively with the store team.

This is an active, in-store position involving time on the sales floor, stocking shelves, unpacking deliveries, and moving merchandise. Essential duties may be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
