Welder Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable welder to perform welding, weld preparation, and finishing operations according to drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, drawings, diagrams, and written instructions.
• Perform MIG welding and weld preparation according to specifications.
• Weld and finish products to meet established quality standards.
• Inspect completed welds to ensure quality, accuracy, and proper appearance.
• Perform routine welding equipment maintenance.
• Identify quality or equipment issues and notify management when necessary.
• Support continuous process improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety procedures and requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous MIG welding experience preferred.
• Experience welding 20 10 gauge sheet metal preferred.
• Welding training or documented welding experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand drawings, diagrams, and written instructions.
• Basic math skills, including measurements, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. when required.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
• Ability to visually inspect welds and finished products.
• Ability to work safely with welding equipment and required PPE.

Work Environment

• Work is performed in a manufacturing/production environment with moderate noise levels.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in designated areas.
