NICU Clinical Dietician

Overview NICU Clinical Dietitian position at HCA HealthONE Presbyterian St. Luke's. The NICU dietitian functions within the multidisciplinary team to provide nutritional care for all infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, including nutrition assessment and intervention, education of staff and families, development of policies and procedures, participation in data collection projects, and serving as a consultant to the healthcare team. When needed, will perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor. Responsibilities Provide nutritional care for all infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, including nutrition assessment and intervention. Educate staff and families on nutrition-related aspects of care. Develop and contribute to policies and procedures related to neonatal nutrition. Participate in data collection projects and act as a consultant to the healthcare team as needed. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications Education: Bachelor of Science or Arts and/or master's degree in Food & Nutrition or Dietetics from an accredited college or university. Licensure/Certification/Registration: RD (Registered Dietitian) or RDN (Registered Dietitian Nutritionist). CNSC (Certified Nutrition Support Clinician) or CSP (Certified Specialist Pediatrics). Experience: Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in a NICU preferred. Special Qualifications: Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English. Ages of Patients Served: Requires knowledge of growth and developmental needs of patients and families; able to respond to behaviors of patients and families in each age category and demonstrate the specialty skills required to care for patients and their families according to standards. Degree of supervision: Involves general guidance and direction by the Clinical Nutrition Manager.
