This is a highly visible role responsible for developing and deploying advanced analytical models that transform large, complex datasets into actionable intelligence. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Machine Learning (ML), Natural Language Processing (NLP), statistical modeling, and cloud-based data science solutions, with the ability to deliver mission-impacting insights in secure environments. You will work alongside elite engineering, data, and mission teams to design and implement AI/ML capabilities that support decision advantage, operational effectiveness, and enterprise-scale analytics initiatives.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and deploy advanced machine learning models supporting mission-critical objectivesDevelop Natural Language Processing (NLP) solutions for extracting insights from structured and unstructured dataBuild predictive and prescriptive analytics solutions using large, complex datasetsResearch, evaluate, and implement AI/ML algorithms to solve complex operational challengesDevelop and optimize data science workflows using Python, Java, or ScalaLeverage AWS cloud services to support scalable machine learning and analytics environmentsCollaborate with Data Engineers, Software Engineers, and mission stakeholders to operationalize AI solutionsSupport MLOps and CI/CD processes utilizing Git and GitLab environmentsCreate visualizations, reports, and presentations that communicate analytical findings to technical and non-technical stakeholdersEnsure models meet performance, reliability, explainability, and security requirements within a cleared environmentStay current on emerging technologies and industry best practices in AI, machine learning, and data scienceRequired Qualifications:Active Top Secret clearanceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or related fieldExtensive experience developing and deploying Machine Learning models in production environmentsStrong experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP), text analytics, and language modeling techniquesStrong programming experience with Python, Java, or ScalaExperience working with machine learning frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Spark ML, or similar technologiesExperience utilizing AWS cloud services for analytics, data science, or machine learning workloadsExperience working with Git or GitLab in CI/CD environmentsStrong understanding of statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and data mining techniquesExperience working with large, complex datasets in secure or regulated environmentsAbility to operate independently at a Senior or SME level and drive solutions from concept through deploymentPreferred Qualifications:Master's Degree or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fieldExperience with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), or AI governance frameworksExperience with distributed data processing platforms and cloud-native architecturesFamiliarity with MLOps pipelines and model deployment frameworksPrior experience supporting federal, defense, intelligence, or national security programsWork Environment:Fully onsite at Redstone Arsenal (Huntsville, AL) Monday–Friday within standard core business hoursSecure facility requiring strict adherence to security protocolsFast-paced, mission-focused environment supporting real-world operational needsDirect collaboration with highly skilled technical teamsWhy Join Kforce?
