Windows Administrator
The Windows Administrator will manage the Windows environment under the direction of the manager and participate in initiatives across multiple IT related divisions within the organization. Responsibilities include the installation and configuration of windows servers, configuration (policies, users, server resources), execution of assigned system maintenance activities, and monitor the general operation of the Windows environment.
Responsibilities
- Work with application teams on upgrading Windows servers
- Implement server GPOs related to security hardening
- Assist in the creation of IT systems standard operating procedures
- Perform system maintenance activities as assigned
- Perform investigation and triage of incidents
- Maintain system security according to prescribed standards and processes
- Monitor system performance and overall IT enterprise health
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum five years of experience with Windows server administration
- Minimum three years of experience with Active Directory, DNS, and GPOs
- Minimum three years of experience upgrading Windows server operating systems
- Minimum one year experience with VMware deploying virtual machines
- Demonstrates organizational skills and self-starting including the ability to plan work activities and stay on schedule
- Friendly and approachable
- Understands change management and can articulate the importance of same
- Excellent communications skills working with multiple IT applications teams
