OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Lead Equipment Specialist, the Equipment Support Specialist will manage world‑class customer service and support for our Distribution Sales Force, maintaining collaborative relationships with outside sales representatives to promote customer satisfaction and equipment growth.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Assist the Distribution Sales Force in selling or specifying preferred equipment brands through remote or on‑site consultations. Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of the company’s resources, products, and pricing structures. Stay updated with the latest kitchen equipment technology by attending test kitchens, factory trainings, and trade shows. Train and mentor the Distribution Sales Force in all aspects of selling and specifying kitchen equipment. Execute the daily order process with high accuracy and minimal errors using the company ERP (Prelude) and AutoQuotes. Process and route orders for scheduling, order acknowledgement, shipping, and invoicing. Manage orders based on written customer change requests and enforce change‑order policies. Communicate order delays timely and courteously, seeking positive resolutions while balancing organizational financial and sales goals with customer needs. Help sales prepare complex quotations, specs, manuals, and other documentation. Build relationships and increase company visibility through participation in company‑sponsored activities and trade shows. Engage in activities that ensure customer satisfaction while maintaining company objectives.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Associate’s Degree in Business or 5+ years of equivalent work experience. Experience selling food‑service equipment, design or project management, or a related field. High‑level understanding of kitchen design, construction, installation, and operations in all types of foodservice environments. Problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills. Excellent verbal and written communication, energetic, positive attitude. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining positive behavior. Capacity to work independently or in a team environment. Detail orientation, time and resource management, organization, and follow‑through skills. Computer proficiency (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, CRM). Valid driver’s license.
