Job Title

Registered Nurse – Cardiac Stepdown

Location

Columbus, OH

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Every Other Weekend | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients with cardiac defects, both medical and surgical in nature
• Manage patients requiring trachs, ventilators, and high-flow nasal cannula
• Care for post-operative patients following cardiac catheterization and transfer from the cardiac ICU
• Administer and monitor inotropic therapy
• Support patients undergoing heart and lung transplant recovery
• Float to different units as required based on facility needs

Required Qualifications

• Active Ohio Registered Nurse license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of pediatric cardiac stepdown experience
• 2 supervisor references required at time of submission; at least one must hold a manager or supervisor title
• Must not have worked permanently at this facility within the past 2 years
• Must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility (no local candidates)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with inotrope administration and monitoring in a stepdown or intermediate care setting
• Familiarity with post-transplant care protocols for pediatric cardiac and pulmonary patients
