Competitive salary commensurate with experience Comprehensive benefits package (health, dental, vision) Retirement savings plan Paid time off and holidays Support for continuing professional education and CPA licensure Opportunities for professional growth and advancement Job Details Key Responsibilities Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting close processes, including account reconciliations and financial statement preparation Research complex tax issues and stay current on changes in tax law and regulations Assist with tax planning strategies to minimize client tax liabilities and ensure compliance Manage bookkeeping and general ledger maintenance for a portfolio of clients Respond to notices from taxing authorities and assist with audits as needed Communicate directly with clients to gather financial information, answer questions, and provide guidance Collaborate with senior staff and partners on client engagements and special projects Maintain organized, accurate, and confidential client files and documentation Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance client service delivery Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 3+ years of experience in public accounting, tax preparation, or a related role Proficiency with tax preparation software (e.g., UltraTax, ProSystem fx, Lacerte, or similar) and accounting platforms (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) Strong understanding of GAAP and current federal/state tax regulations Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills High level of attention to detail and accuracy Preferred Qualifications Experience working with small to mid-sized businesses across multiple industries Familiarity with multi-state tax filings Prior experience in a public accounting firm environment Interested in hearing more?
