Job Title: Senior Reporter, Infrastructure

Location: New York, hybrid - 3 days in office, 2 at home.

Take the next step in your financial journalism career by putting yourself at the heart of in one of the most dynamic sectors in the market: infrastructure.

You will join a collaborative editorial team and write for an audience of institutional investors, fund managers, and advisers involved in infrastructure investments. You will be given latitude to work autonomously to generate new leads and contacts to scoop intelligence across the sector.

As an experienced financial or business journalist, you will need the competitive desire to break news that puts your reporting at the cutting edge of the market. You will pro-actively build relationships with people in the market, write both short and long-form formats and produce multimedia outputs.

There will be a thorough onboarding process but a strong grounding in the key trends within the infrastructure sector and a track record of sourcing financial or business scoops is fundamental. Your scoops, multimedia output, hosting duties at roundtables and collective newsroom pieces will establish you as a leading editorial voice in the sector.

Key responsibilities

• Break off-diary news on infrastructure transactions, working with senior editors to become a known face in the sector.
• Proactively build a contact book across investment banks and other funds involved in project financing to support the existing team's network.
• Write compelling news and analysis for the title's institutional readership.

Key requirements

• Experience reporting within B2B business or financial journalism.
• A track record of breaking off-diary news through a self-built source network of and experience managing those source relationships.
• Excellent writing skills, meaning the ability to write concisely & accurately on market critical stories, conveying core insights to an expert audience.
