Banquet Captain

We are hiring Banquet Captain As a Banquet Captain, you will play a critical leadership role in ensuring seamless and memorable event experiences. Working closely with the Banquet Manager, you will supervise banquet staff, coordinate food and beverage service, and ensure exceptional guest satisfaction across all events—from meetings and trainings to receptions and reunions.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures, and Brand standards.
• Review and understand Banquet Event Orders BEOs) to have knowledge of expectations of events.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings with banquet staff, go over menu and service requirements to ensure that the event is a success.
• Greet event hosts and guests.
• Assist with food and beverage delivery when needed, especially during peak service periods.
• Train banquet staff on proper service techniques for plated meals, buffets, and reception-style events.
• Anticipate guest needs and monitor satisfaction with food, beverages, and service.
• Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and concerns.
• Supervise the setup, execution, and breakdown of all banquet events.
• Submit end of event reports.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe service areas at all times.

Qualifications:

• Previous Banquet or Food & Beverage leadership experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and team leadership skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced event environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods and lift moderate weights as needed.
