Oilfield Mechanic

Position Summary The Oilfield Mechanic II independently performs routine maintenance and mid-level repairs on oilfield equipment including engines, pumps, separators, and compressors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical problems with minimal supervision. Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment. Maintain accurate service records and work orders. Mentor junior mechanics. Qualifications Required: High school diploma or GED 3+ years of mechanical experience, preferably oilfield. Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing rotating equipment. Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. Preferred: Technical certificate in diesel, heavy equipment, or mechanical trades. Skills & Competencies Intermediate troubleshooting. Strong mechanical knowledge. Good communication and teamwork skills. Physical Demands Requirement Frequency Description Sitting Frequently Driving Standing/Walking Frequently Facility walkthroughs Lifting (up to 50 lbs.) Occasionally Parts, tools, safety equipment Fine Motor Skills Daily Typing, writing, computer mouse use, tools Vision/Hearing Requirements Required Reading reports, using phones, attending meetings Environmental Exposure Frequently Visit field sites with exposure to weather and noise Work Environment Exposure to field conditions including noise, dust, extreme temperatures, and inclement weather. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required at all times in designated areas.
