Field Service Manager
The Field Service Manager (FSM) leads the Field Service Department, including the Assistant Field Service Manager and the Dispatch, Work Order Administration, and Scheduling functions. The FSM is accountable for accurate work-order processing, effective scheduling and dispatch, operational reporting, revenue-loss visibility, system and record integrity, team development, and coordination between office and field operations. The FSM establishes clear standards, equips department leads to manage their teams, resolves escalated issues, and ensures the department provides reliable support to customers, builders, Sales, Finance, and field leadership. The FSM demonstrates Onsite Safety's mission, vision, and core values through daily leadership, decisions, and accountability.
Department Leadership and Team Development
- Lead, coach, and hold accountable the Assistant Field Service Manager and department leads.
- Ensure effective workforce planning, hiring support, onboarding, training, performance management, communication, and team development.
Work Order, Scheduling, and Dispatch Operations
- Ensure work orders move accurately and efficiently from customer request through scheduling, dispatch, field execution, and completion.
- Align capacity with demand and maintain accountability for service reliability and operational performance.
Operational Reporting
- Maintain visibility and accountability for service completion and department performance by ensuring required operational reports are accurate, timely, evaluated, and acted upon.
Process Improvement and Cross-Departmental Collaboration
- Develop and maintain effective processes, documentation, and SOPs
- Use operational information to improve performance; and coordinate with sales, finance, field leadership, builder relations, and other departments to support reliable execution.

Work Environment and Time Requirements
The FSM works primarily in an office environment with frequent collaboration across office and field teams. As an exempt manager, the role is expected to meet the company's established minimum work-hour requirement and may require occasional evenings, weekends, or additional hours to support operational needs and resolve significant service issues.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Three or more years of leadership experience in operations, field service management, scheduling, dispatch, customer operations, or a related area.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multiple functional teams, delegate effectively, resolve operational issues, and improve processes.
- Strong proficiency with field-service management systems (FSM), enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, dispatch and scheduling platforms, reporting tools, and project-management software.
- Ability to interpret operational and financial reports, identify trends, and ensure timely follow-up and accountability.
- Strong written, verbal, and cross-functional communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, operations management, or a related field.
- Five or more years of progressive leadership experience in construction, field service, dispatch-heavy operations, or customer operations.
- Experience leading through department leads and using data, audits, and reporting to develop teams, reduce errors, protect revenue, and improve service performance.
